at the Baltic Sea coast of Mecklenburg

In the history of art it is to be seen over and over again, that Mecklenburg is full of nice motives. So it is not at all surprising that many artists decide to settle down in this country. Visitors are invited to old houses which were altered to romantic studio houses all year round.

The region of the Baltic Sea coast of Mecklenburg is shaped by its maritime and historical flair. In the Hanseatic cities of Wismar and Rostock, and the culturally acclaimed regional capital Schwerin, as well as Bad Doberan with its brick buildings that are steeped in history, one is taken back in time. You can go on a journey through time on one of the guided city tours or on a visit to one of the many regional museums or galleries.

In contrast to the warm red bricks, which are dominant in most cities, you will experience the incredible diversity of the architecture of the Baltic Seaside resorts and their spa characteristics. No house looks just like the next when you walk down the promenade of Kühlungsborn, which is nearly four kilometres long.
